“My favorite part of the week!”

I had been wanting to get back into riding, and Painted Ridge Farm was recommended to me. I am so thankful that I found Mary! She is a great teacher and rider, and has great horses available for all levels. PRF is on gorgeous land out in Lorena, and it does my soul good to get out of the city and to get into nature. I am learning quickly under Mary’s guidance, and having so much fun doing it.

I first started riding at Painted Ridge Farm 10 years ago.  At the time, I was having issues with my seat, equitation and consistency with cues for my horse.  I had worked with many trainers, both in St. Louis, MO and Central Texas.  Mary Bauer and PRF were the solution to my problems.  Mary is a trainer and teacher set apart from the rest.  She takes the time to get to know each horse and rider as individuals as well as a team.  Mary has the innate ability to pinpoint problems, along with finding the interventions needed to improve the performance of both horse and rider.  Ms. Bauer is a gifted teacher and  is dedicated to the goal of having each horse and rider reach their potential.  Despite all of the demands of her business, Mary oversees every aspect of the management of her barn. The stalls, equipment, pastures and grounds are very well maintained, ensuring the safety of the horses and her students.   The round pen and arena are in excellent condition with great footing.  Quality hay and feed are provided.  Mary knows every horse and is meticulous regarding their care. Since arriving at PRF I have purchased two horses. Ms. Bauer has been an invaluable part of the team, teaching and encouraging me and my horses to strive for improvement and challenge ourselves.  The  horses could not have received better care and training anywhere else. This is why I have remained at PRF and have no plans to leave.  It is rare to find a person with such knowledge and insight regarding horses, as well as someone so dedicated to helping both horse and rider. Mary is a true professional in the equine world.
